BISHOP M. EARL PULLIAM, Sr.

Bishop M. Earl Pulliam was ordained an Elder on August 8, 1988 by Bishop Carlis L. Moody, Jurisdictional Prelate of Germany.  While stationed overseas, he served as president of the Brotherhood, Senior Deacon, Assistant Pastor, Executive Administrator for the District Superintendent and Finance Committee member (West Germany Jurisdiction) as well as working with Home and Foreign Missions.
On January 14, 1990, he established Light of the World Ministries, Church of God in Christ in the city of Daleville, AL.  He has also pastored Antioch Church of God in Christ, Montgomery, Alabama and served as interim pastor for eight months in 2002 at Allen Temple Church of God in Christ, Dothan, Alabama.  He was subsequently appointed as pastor there on July 24, 2012.  He was also blessed to serve as Pastor of House of Prayer Pentecostal Service (HOPPS), Republic of Panama, during a tour there.
On March 9, 1997 during the Annual Workers Conference in Montgomery, Alabama, Elder Pulliam was elevated to Superintendent of the Daleville District by the late Bishop W. S. Harris, Jurisdictional Prelate, Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Alabama. After the consolidation of the Daleville and New Samson District, he was appointed Superintendent of the Samson District by the late Bishop Philip A. Gardner, Sr. in November of 2012. Superintendent Pulliam also served as the Second Administrative Assistant to the jurisdictional bishop, Alabama Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction COGIC.
On March 9, 2023, at Mason Memorial Temple Church of God in Christ, 2157 Government Street, Mobile, Alabama, Bishop Pulliam was consecrated as a bishop in the Church of God in Christ with the episcopal assignment and installed as the jurisdictional prelate, Alabama Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
Bishop Pulliam was educated in the Houston, Mississippi public school system.  He attended Mary Holmes Junior College, West Point, Mississippi, Knoxville College, Knoxville, Tennessee, and received a Bachelor of Arts, Masters, and Doctor of Ministry (Pastoral Ministry) in Theology from Bethany Bible College and Seminary, Dothan, Alabama, May 26, 2016.
Bishop Pulliam served his country with honor and retired on July 31, 1995 after a successful 20-year career in the United States Army.  He is presently working full-time in the ministry.
He is married to the former Dorothy Jean Gunn of Yazoo City, Mississippi.  The Lord has blessed this union with two off-springs.
